Corrosion-Resistant Forced Air Unit Heaters
The Ruffneck™ CR1 Triton™ series of corrosion-resistant forced air heaters are suitable for non-hazardous highly corrosive, humid or dirty environments and can be used in hose-down applications. The CR1 heaters are rated Type 4X and are available in models from 3kW to 39kW. An optional manual reset high-limit is available for Marine duty use, and Monel® elements are also now available. The CR1 series has a 1-year warranty.

The FX4 series of liquid-filled heaters is CSA certified or UL listed for use in hazardous locations such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, pulp and paper mills, hazardous waste storage facilities and wastewater treatment plants where explosive gases or dusts are present. The FX4 utilizes a unique evacuated core, which produces a higher air temperature rise, even heat distribution, and a faster warm-up. FX4 heaters range from 2.5 to 35 kW. The FX4 comes standard with 120 volt controls and is available with optional built-in disconnect switch or built-in room thermostat. The FX4 series has a 3-year warranty.

The CX1 ProVector® series of convection air heaters are approved for Groups B, C, D, IIA, & ( IIB + H2 ) hazardous locations and are available in 45 models ranging from 1.2 to 7.6 kW. Other features include a small, sloped-top cabinet for better space utilization and improved safety, heavy duty heating elements for longer life and increased reliability, and high-velocity airflow for faster warm-up time and better heat distribution. The Ruffneck™ Advanced Horizontal heaters are designed for rugged industrial applications and are available in 37 models from 6,000 to 1,200,000 BTU/hr. With a maximum operating pressure and temperature rating of 450 psi and 650° F respectively, the AH Series is perfect for steam, circulating hot water, and glycol heating systems or liquid cooling applications that include: flash stream condensers, lube oil coolers, and pump seal coolers, etc. The AH series has a 1-year warranty.

Frost Resistant and High Pressure Unit Heaters
This line of Ruffneck™ heat-exchanger unit heaters is designed for rugged industrial applications for steam, water or glycol circulating heating systems. The FR (frost resistant) Series is designed primarily for steam applications that are subject to freezing conditions. During an accidental freeze-up, the headers are designed to accommodate ice expansion. The HP (high-pressure) Series is designed for pressures to 400 psi in single-pass and multi-pass configurations. Multi-pass units greatly improve performance with liquids. The HP series and FR series both have a 1-year warranty.
