The Purolator 2000
serves as an effective replacement filter in home heating/air cooling
system cleaners such as those manufactured by Research Products
Corporation's Space-Gard and Trion's Air Bear.
Regardless of the make
of air cleaner installed in your home, when it comes to effective
filtration of harmful pollutants, the overall result is only as
effective as the filter in your system. Insist on the Purolator 2000 for
high quality construction materials, workmanship, and performance.
Most airborne irritants measure in the
5-100 micron size. The chart below provides practical
explanation
of various particulates and their micron size.
The Purolator 2000 is designed
exclusively for home use where particles in the 5 micron range and
larger are present, and can be removed efficiently and safely.
With proper and continuous use, the
Purolator 2000 will capture pollen, dust, tobacco smoke residue, grease,
and pet dander which usually collects on furniture, windows, and carpets
from the household environment. You will quickly notice a difference in
the air quality of your home---fresher indoor air, less dust, pollen and
spores.
Experience the
difference!
- Reduction in the dust accumulation on household
furniture; allergy causing irritants; grease and oily build up on
windows, walls, doors, and kitchen appliances; discoloration of
draperies and wall coverings.
- Reduced maintenance cost of your home heating
and air conditioning system.
- Increased efficiency of the home HVAC system.
Pleat
Configuration
The filter media derives its
support from being continuously bonded to a corrosion resistant,
28-guage, expanded metal grid allowing a 95% open face area. This media/
backing configuration is formed into aerodynamic wedge-shaped pleats. To
eliminate the possibility of dirty air bypass, the media pack is
securely bonded at all contact points to the moisture resistant frame.
Filter Media
A lofted, non-woven pleated
filter media composed of cotton and synthetic fibers makes up the
Purolator 2000 media. When tested in accordance with ASHRAE testing
method 52.1-1992, this fiber blend provides an average arrestance of
90-93% dust retention capabilities.
Installation
This illustration
demonstrates the ease with which a Purolator 2000 filter may be
installed into your air cleaner housing to replace the current dirty
media component. The self contained feature of the Purolator 2000 means
your hands never have to touch the contaminated media during the filter
change-out process.
It is generally recommended that the
filter in your air cleaner be replaced every 60-90 days. Because the
Purolator 2000 model is enclosed in its own frame,
installation is greatly simplified over other replacement options
offering a frameless media component which after use gets very messy.
With the Purolator 2000
installation is as easy as removing the old, and dropping in the new.
Your hands never touch the dirty media!
